Renee + Darren | Johnstown Engagement Photography

I’m so lucky when people find me through “friends of friends”. It is truly amazing how far my name has gone within the past 2 years. (not even!) Renee is one that heard of me through the grape vine, and I couldn’t be happier! Renee and Darren are absolutely adorable together. I captured so many surreal moments along with a lot of giggles and smiles on the side. I learned to look out for poison ivy and watch for ticks all thanks to Darren. (I’m totally oblivious to the fact that it’s out there) Not to mention they both knew exactly how to “work it, love it!” from their past vacation… which made me feel like Austin Powers “Yes, yes, yes … NO NO! Yes!” Haha!

I am thrilled to be a part of their December wedding. It will be my first official winter wedding, out of 3! Always looking forward to how it all the fine details will come together in the end.

To Renee and Darren: Thanks for being fantastic models. I enjoyed being with you guys on that hot n’ sticky Friday and I cannot wait to see you both in December. Praying for 6 inches of snow! 😉

How they met, as told by Renee ::

“We work for the same company and our business unit opened in Johnstown, PA in September 2008.  Darren’s sister-in-law worked at a different business unit and suggest he apply for the job openings coming to town.  He got the job!  I worked at another defense contractor in town and applied.  I got the job!  Darren started in early November 2008 and I started shortly after on December 1, 2008.  On my first day, my friend Jen was already working there and sat next to Darren.  I came out of a break from training and Jen introduced us.  We didn’t work closely with one another, but said hello in passing and it wasn’t until almost 11 months later when we were at a happy hour with co-workers that we started to talk. Within a week he finally asked me out on a “real date”.  Coincidentally, our wedding date is the day we met four years earlier, December 1.  The rest is history!”
